Ready for the next step?

Page 2 of the booklet maps the rest of the multiplication path for teachers. The booklet is step one. Each row opens the next step and its preview on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Division Mazes use the same four-level routine as the multiplication mazes. Every booklet and practice pack is on the math facts page.

A lesson page, then a practice page

Every table from 1 to 10 gets the same two pages. Here are the 3s, exactly as they print.

The 3 times table lesson page: 3 × 4 shown as 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 12, a count by 3s trick, three steps, 4 groups of 3 drawn as dots, and the full 3s table
Lesson: how the 3 times table works
The 3 times table practice page: the facts in order, the same facts mixed up, a scratch pad, and a find the missing number challenge
Practice: in order, mixed up, missing numbers

Try the 3 times table

These six come from the bottom of the 3s practice page. The lesson page's trick works here too: count by 3s until you land on the number.

  • 3 ×what number= 15
  • 3 ×what number= 30
  • 3 ×what number= 6
  • 3 ×what number= 24
  • 3 ×what number= 21
  • 3 ×what number= 18

How teachers use it

Use it to introduce the facts one table at a time, to reteach a table that needs another look, or as a reference students can return to in math centers, morning work, and homework. Each practice page tells students to use the strategy box from the lesson page, so the two pages work as a pair. For a walk through the 3s, page by page, read Teaching the Times Tables 1 to 10, One Table at a Time on the blog.

Questions teachers ask

Is the multiplication facts booklet really free?

Yes. The PDF downloads straight from this page with no sign-up and no account. The same booklet is also free on Teachers Pay Teachers if you'd rather keep it in your TpT library.

Which grades is it for?

Grades 3 to 5. It covers every times table from 1 to 10, one table at a time, so it works for introducing the facts and for reteaching a table that needs another look.

Does it include a multiplication chart?

Yes, two. Page 23 is a completed times table chart from 1 × 1 to 10 × 10, with how to read it, and page 24 is a blank chart for students to fill in.

Is there an answer key?

Yes. Two answer key pages cover every practice page, in the same order as the worksheets, plus the answer to the bonus maze.

Does it print in black and white?

Yes. All 28 pages are black and white, so it prints and photocopies without color ink.

Do I need a Teachers Pay Teachers account?

Not for the download on this page. If you'd rather keep the booklet in your TpT library, the listing there is free too; you'll log in to download it.

The rest of the math line lives on the math facts page, the maze packs are on the math mazes page, the other free printables are on the free resources page, and everything else is on the main shop page.
